Picnic Time at Fall Quilt Market
Posted by AngieSteveson on Thursday, November 10th, 2011
Fall Market in Houston has come and gone. As usual I was behind on all of my deadlines, but somehow it was all accomplished on time.

“Picnic Time” the newest Lunch Box quilt pattern
was released at market. The picnic themed large quilt and table runner were a
favorite in the booth. Everyone loved the ants! The Picnic Time patterns come
in both the embroidery machine CD version and the Classic Series for non
embroidery machine owners.

Lunch Box Quilts booth was part of the Aurifil Sock Hop. Participants were to visit twenty different designated booths and have the designer in the booth initial their Hop card. It was so much fun meeting all the shops that stopped by to get their card initialed. After a participant’s card was filled with the twenty initials they were eligible for the grand prize of an Aurifil suitcase of 216 spools of thread. There were also prizes from all of the designers.
My good friend Lisa Veith helped in the Lunch Box Quilts booth for a day. She demonstrated how to appliqué with an embroidery machine. Thanks Lisa for almost completing a table runner!
The editors Wendy and Ellen from Creative Machine Embroidery stopped by for a visit. It’s always fun to see them. Ellen had her baby boy, Dillon since I had last seen her at Spring Market. We are all so happy for new mama Ellen! I will have two articles in Creative Machine Embroidery next year. Look for the July/ August and the September/October issues.
Spring Market is Kansas City will be here before I know it. I’d better get working.
Keep your sewing machines stitching!
Angie
